For the next few weeks I will be bird-sitting while my daughter is away. She thought the little girl would appreciate the friendly traffic in the office. And no surprise here, but she is nameless. She does sometimes get referred to as 'PB', which is short for purple budgie, NOT peanut butter!

For 7 full days there has been a soil sampling crew across from my office. 12 hour days including the weekend. Drilling monitoring wells, taking samples, shovelling, testing, surveying, mapping, finding hidden surprises - this crew earned their paychecks this week! The full crew was 6 people but I missed getting a group photo as they have been wrapping things up and this afternoon only Kelby was onsite to close things up. They have been great temporary neighbours and depending on what their sampling reveals they may be back for more work in a few months. I hope they are.

What a wonderful duty to announce the arrival of Micheline Berard! She has taken up residence in my office and is providing excellent footcare. Many of you know her from various activities that she is involved with around the area. If you don't know here then I hope you get a chance to meet her soon. Welcome aboard Micheline!

This afternoon I said farewell to Pattie as she finished up with her practice and emptied out her room. She is off to start on a new adventure and I wish her well. She has been a wonderful tenant for the last few years. It will be different around here without her.

Saturday afternoon spring cleaning behind the office led to finding this romantic(?) message in the bushes. It is not addressed to anyone specifically, yet there seems to be a level of closeness judging by the X's and O's. I did check the Urban Dictionary just to be sure there wasn't an obvious meaning that eluded me. So if you have been longing for someone exactly like this, send me a message and I can provide you with a first name. The rest is up to you!

Once again my communications are unreliable. Bell MTS is working to get things stabilized again so please be patient if you are not getting through to my office. Hopefully this box is the culprit and I'll be fully functional by the end of the day.
