Increased time spent on near work and screens has been linked to an increased risk of developing myopia (nearsightedness) in children.1,2 This is a visual condition in which near objects are seen clearly, but distant objects are blurry and do not come into proper focus.

Did you know that many household chemicals will wear down the coatings on your lenses, reducing your quality of sight? Even seemingly little exposure, like mist from a spray bottle, will stick to your lenses and eat away at them.
Anytime your glasses are exposed to chemicals and cleaners, rinse them off with soapy fresh water and spray with a lens cleaner.
🚫REMEMBER: the cleaner you use on your windows should NOT be used on your glasses!🚫

Are you curious about Transition lenses?
Transitions aren't sunglasses --- they're clear until expose to UV light (i.e. sunlight), at which point they darken. Once they're out of the UV light, they return to clear lenses.

This week is Glaucoma Awareness Week; the goal is to raise awareness and encourage people to think about their eye health.
Currently, glaucoma cannot be cured, only treated, and, unlike cataracts, the damage caused by it can't be replaced or restored. That's why it's so important to catch glaucoma early on.
