Upcoming event for families who have experienced perinatal loss: Walk To Remember

October 5, 2025, Bowering Park, St. John's NL

“Walk to Remember” is an annual event that is organized by the Bereavement Services of NLHS in loving memory of babies who have died through stillbirth, newborn death, miscarriage or any other type of pregnancy loss. The event will include a short ceremony, a reflective walk and tree planting in Angel's Grove (Bowring Park).

This event is open to the public, no registration required.

After a relatively easy pregnancy, this little boy decided it was time to create some commotion and came very close to being born in the car! Our doula supported his dad through it all over the phone (there was just no way she would make it!). My first completely unmedicated delivery, I listened to my body and pushed how I wanted to push, I didn't rush to breastfeed him. Everything about it felt so RIGHT for ME.

Looking back, I'm so grateful to have had such drastically different experiences. And for each of my beautiful children who continue to teach me so much. 🩵🩷💚

Having a second baby was terrifying. I knew I desperately wanted this baby, and I desperately wanted to avoid another cesarean this time around.

I switched OB/GYNs, found and hired an amazing doula, and trained body and mind for this delivery. (This experience is why my resource list for clients is so extensive 😄)

It took SO MUCH WORK to get my perfect girl earthside! I don't know if "proud" is an adequate word to describe how I felt with her in my arms. Powerful, triumphant, joyous. Maybe if all those words could get rolled up into one, it would be enough.

Vbac clients will forever have a very special place in my heart because I've been one myself! It's an experience unlike anything else ❤️
