Can you feel the spring in the air?! I sure can and isn't it exciting!! We have emerged from the winter season, the dark and into the light of spring.
What wisdom are you bringing forth from the winter?
Where do you feel motivated and pulled? Is there days you feel unmotivated? Does lead to frustration?
As we come into spring there can be this pendulum that as our momentum goes forward and we are energized, making plans and motivated. We have days that suck us back into old patterns and the dark of winter. We see this in nature as well, here comes spring and all of a sudden .. bam.. ice storm or one last snow storm. We are nature as we bubble with excitement to begin spring, have grace for the days where we want to crawl back into our winter hibernation.
Spring is represented in Chinese medicine by the liver and gallbladder. When out of balanced it can show up as anger, frustration, impatience, and irritation towards yourself or others. Be kind to yourself and others.
Some people may be experiencing sickness, again look at nature and what is happening and reflect upon it. As the snow melts and the rain starts we get the wet and damp, as our bodies transition from winter to spring we to experience a thaw and excess fluid. Hello sinus infections, pneumonia, stomach flus with temperature change, etc. Take care of yourself. This is a time where your body wants green bitter foods and sour foods, heavy meals with heavy carbs and dairy will create more congestion in the body.
Where are you on your journey into spring?? Me personally, I am still transitioning into spring with some interesting themes that keep arising, lots of journalling and meditating to help me on my way.
Cheers to a successful spring, may all the seeds you plant flourish into beautiful flowers .. sending love to all you beautiful humans :)
