Opening the neck by suspending the head in the Dissolve Yoga with " Robot Arms".
Once we begin to investigate internal release and saturate the body with open, spacious awareness, simple motions carry such profound implications.
If I am not releasing, the torso/spine and neck will not open...if I am listening inwards and penetrating/releasing any contraction that arises continually, magic happens.
The mind, breath and fascia are not just connected, they are the same, they mirror one another. Once the mind and breath are settled, the qi/prana follows and this "ties together" the body in a wonderful way by hydrating and elasticating the fascial web.
If we are looking and listening for release and moving via release, the whole body, and really our whole being become increasingly unified, so that as one part moves and all parts move.
Thus when I raise the hands, sliding the bones of the arms through the flesh and opening the palms, my entire torso all the way up to my neck releases and opens. The spine slides up ti the skull, and I sustain this process over long periods with consistent practice, even the skull will open and the brain will find release as well!
To say that this is enjoyable/pleasurable is an understatement! I have spent many hours simply raising my arms to open my neck and it has done wonderful things to this area that has been crushed and whipped around a few times!
