Blackberry Festival was a blast, so glad the weather cleared up just in time for the event. Thank you to Taran Brown of Aero Auto Parts for sponsoring us and giving us a sweet spot in front of Taws, beside our good friends Convenient Chef.

We wish to congratulate Tla’amin Nation on their Tis’kwat Coming Home Project. The Ground Blessing Ceremony was truly beautiful to experience. We look forward to seeing the construction bring together such a beautiful building plan and we welcome them back to their original village land. ❤️ Welcome home neighbours!

We just want to thank everyone who donated and participated in our Liam Gadsby Memorial Fishing Derby this past weekend. We had so much fun. It was quite windy and so that made for a more challenging derby, but we had a great time!!! ❤️ Not every boat took photos because they were focused on the fish, but we got a few good ones.

Next year we are going to do a Derby open to the public with a small entry fee and bigger prizes! Looking forward to seeing more people out there! ❤️

Hi folks,

Miklat Recovery is looking to raise a little money for our 2nd Annual Liam Gadsby Fishing Derby this coming Sunday in Powell River. Last year we raised $1500 towards prizes for all the participants. This year we're hoping to do the same. Liam passed away on March 24th of last year and we held our first fishing derby in his honour last September. This year we're aiming for August 10th because the fishing is hot right now. We're also looking for any boat captains who might want to take a few of our Miklat men out on the water on Sunday and win some prizes. We've got a link below to donate, the funds go to our incredible parent organization Together We Can Drug & Alcohol Recovery & Education Society but the money will be used for prizes for our clients and participants. This is a big deal for our men who have suffered alot in life, to get them out on the water and experience some sober fun! Please donate, ever dollar helps!

Well, it's that time yet again, graduation time!

One of our youngest graduates ever, Josh W, has been a pleasure to work with. He not only put his emotional and spiritual recovery first, he also put his physical recovery first, and it shows!

Josh is staying put in second stage, so we can't say we'll miss him because he's sticking around. Someone is taking the suggestions seriously and we know where that leads, a happy and healthy future full of hope and joy.

Huge thank you to the hard working men, including that funny character, Greg, from Together We Can Drug & Alcohol Recovery & Education Society, who came up today to deliver mattresses, desks and file cabinets from Vancouver. Our new building is starting to come together! Also a big thank you to Steve, Jason, Jay, Randy, Stewert, and all the Miklat Boys for helping to put together beds and move stuff in. We can't do it alone, but Together We Can! ❤️ I didn't take any photos because I was so busy, but afterwards I got some photos from the yard at Mcguffie to share.

Update time! ☀️ Jesse is now in Ontario and is facing some of his biggest challenges on his road trip. Not so much physical as emotional, as he faces, and let's go of, the past that has haunted his life. Here's his latest update:

"Found this today and it hits home for me on this trip, cleansing my life of the weight of the past through one of the greatest challenges Ive ever undertaken, for some a trip like this can be taken easy, with short days and plenty of rest, but for me my internal gearing is alway pushing harder. Everyday is another chance to go further, to get stronger and to prove to myself that I have more in the tank than i ever could have imagined, so everyday is a challenge. I have had several epiphanies and transformative moments along the way, and like this quote says it has only come through the crucible of fire and would not have come in the comfort of everyday life. I am grateful for what I have learend so far and for whats to come.

“Real transformation doesn’t come from an occasional yoga class, incense and comfort. It comes from fire. From the crucible of rebirth.

The alchemical fire doesn’t ask for permission. It demands sacrifice. Not of your body—but of your illusions.

The old self cannot walk the path of the awakened.
It must be burned. Purified. Distilled. Exalted

What are you still clinging to?
The story of separation? The belief in scarcity?
Your addiction to control?
That quiet voice whispering you are unworthy?
The lie that time owns you?
The grip of fear?
The illusion of death?

These are the seven veils—and every single one is woven from the same thread: forgetfulness of your infinite nature.

To walk the razors edge of consciousness
is not poetic metaphor.
It is sacrifice.
It is standing naked before the flame
and letting every mask fall.
No more personas.
No more roles.
No more hiding behind spiritual platitudes or victim stories.

Just you. Raw. Infinite. Eternal.

Those who walk through fire carry no baggage.
They emerge not as improved versions of their former selves— but as something altogether otherworldly.

You want truth?
Then strip down.
Burn it all.
And remember:

The naked truth will always offend those clothed in beautiful lies.

Let them be offended.
You’re not here to be palatable.
You’re here to be transfigured.

So I’ll ask again—
What needs to burn?”
