💗 Pink Shirt Day: Standing Up Against Bullying, Together 💗
Today, our team at Prescott Family Health Team is proud to wear pink in support of Pink Shirt Day — a reminder that kindness, respect, and inclusion matter in every space, including our clinics, schools, workplaces, and communities.
Pink Shirt Day began in Canada in 2007, when two students organized a powerful act of solidarity to support a peer who was bullied for wearing pink. What started as a small gesture has grown into a nationwide movement promoting empathy, acceptance, and standing up for one another.
Bullying can have lasting impacts on mental health, self-esteem, and overall well-being — affecting children, teens, and adults alike. As a Family Health Team, we are committed to:
✔ Promoting safe and inclusive environments
✔ Supporting mental health and emotional well-being
✔ Encouraging open conversations about kindness and respect
If you or your child is experiencing bullying, you are not alone. Reach out to your healthcare provider — we’re here to listen and help connect you with the right supports.
Today and every day, let’s choose kindness. 💗
