In February, the Victoria Hospital Foundation announced a partnership with Rizwan and Saima Ali of PA Pharmacy to benefit health care professionals at the Victoria Hospital seeking to further their education. The Dr. M.Z. Hussain Memorial Scholarship Program is offered in honour of Dr. Hussain who was a pillar of support in our community for many years and who was passionately committed to the mental health of our citizens and youth. He dedicated his entire career to saving lives and
helping those with severe mental health illness.
The $10,000 scholarship program contains grants for registered nurses, licensed practical nurses and allied health care professionals as well as funds specifically dedicated to mental health.

This year’s recipients applied for funding to receive continued education in various areas including: Clinical Traumatologist, Concurrent Disorders, Psychiatric Nursing, Collaborative Nursing, Pharmacy Technician

Rizwan and Saima Ali operate PA Pharmasave on 2nd Ave West in Prince Albert. They bring decades of pharmacy experience to their business and are passionate about helping others. The Ali family has been so supportive of our Foundation over the years, and with the exciting news of a new baby on the way, Rizwan, Saima and their children wanted to do something meaningful for the mothers and babies in our hospital. Thank you Ali family for your generous donation of $5,000 toward new equipment for the Malhotra NICU for the North!! We can’t wait to welcome your newest little family member!
