I just love this picture so much.

This is me nursing my daughter. She was almost a year old here, and she was still full-time nursing at this point. She was slow to be interested in solid foods. Nursing wasn't easy for us at first, but it got easier as she got bigger. It took a lot of work and perseverance, but once we really got going she stuck with it.
I've always said she was a ni**le snob because she refused to take any kind of pacifier or bottle, and would only be soothed or fed by me. It had its challenges and joys. It was great to be able to have milk on tap and just be able to sit and feed her wherever we were, but it was hard being her main comfort point and never being able to be away from her for long.
I did allow her to continue breastfeeding until she was naturally ready to ween, and for her that was after she was 3.

This is in no way meant to be judgemental or comment on anyone else's experience. I'm just sharing our experience. 🩷
Keep up the good work moms, however your feeding journey goes it is valid and I know you're all doing the best you can.

Brand new addition to my lending library. "Not Your Mother's Postpartum Book" by Caitlin slavens and Chelsea Bodie.

This book looks like. Really fantastic resource and a look at modern motherhood and so many of the challenges and issues that arise for us as parents. Some of these are things that have always been an issue and no one really wanted to talk about, some of them are new to modern mothering, and some are hot button topics that people are sometimes scared to bring up.

Let's work together to normalize post partum however it looks for you. Let's talk about the things that bother us, that hurt, that we need help with. Let's be together in these hard times. Let's be vulnerable and ask for help from each other. You don't have to be alone.

If you're interested in reading this book let me know.
