My wife shared this video clip with me, and I thought I would share it. This clip demonstrates a man (Herman) with good hearing, though selective listening (or perhaps more appropriately, selective obedience). Often I see husbands claiming to have selective hearing, though their hearing tests reveal otherwise. Selective speaks to choice, whereas hearing loss more often is eventident by words such as “say what”, “can you repeat that”, “sorry I wasn’t listening” meaning speak louder.
