Throwback Thursday to October 29, 1936 — when Assman Funeral Chapel opened its doors on George Street, right across from City Hall. A name that still earns a grin, but behind it was a family offering real compassion when Prince George families needed it most.

Long before hospice care existed here, they helped neighbours through some of life’s hardest moments with dignity, respect, and a steady presence.

Today is 10/30/2025 — 89 years later. The ways we care have evolved, but that same spirit continues in the work happening at Hospice every day.
