What to EAT and DRINK to Be MERRY this Holiday Season!

I am confident that many of you are already familiar with what foods to limit during stressful times, just in case, I will list the ones that tend to overwhelm our adrenals the most:

Unhealthy oils: hydrogenated oils, non GMO oils, canola, corn and soybean oil, non-organic fats/oils
Sweeteners: artificial, high fructose corn syrup, process and refined sugars (natural, unrefined sugars such as honey and maple syrup should be limited- palm sugar is a better choice).
Caffeinated beverages and foods
Refined salts (sodium and sodium chloride)

Why We Need To Chill Out To Avoid Burning Up

Stress is becoming an increasingly ubiquitous phenomenon in our lives these days, especially with the pandemic. Preparing for and celebrating holidays often results in many of us burning the candle at both ends. We can find ourselves grappling with so much stress that burning out can feel inevitable. It is essential that we pause and catch our breath because stress can take a toll on our health. Stress of any kind, no matter what its cause, can have negative consequences, not only on our mental health, but our physical health as well.

In the face of all the adversity in the world and upheavals in our lives, we still have so much to be thankful for.

This Thanksgiving Day I have so much to be grateful for and so many to thank in my life. I have a wonderful family whose support gives me the inspiration and drive to continue doing and loving what I am doing. I am ever so grateful to my patients for giving me the opportunity to do what I love. I thank every one of you from the bottom of my heart for your loyalty and trust in allowing me to help you navigate your health journey.

All of us at our clinic are so grateful for all your support and for giving us all purpose and meaning in our lives. We deeply appreciate your sharing of your stories and listening to our stories. We cannot thank everyone enough, from our staff, our couriers, and our patients who support us every day and allow us to have the awesome gift of doing what we are doing and truly loving every moment.
