NORTHERN BC- We are starting an adapted Girl Guide Unit in Prince George! Our group will be multiage (Sparks, Embers, Guides, Pathfinders, Rangers) and will run on Thursdays from 6-7:30PM (location TBA). This unit will be adapted to fit the unique needs of our girls but will still allow them to have the full Girl Guide experience. I need a few more volunteers to do the leader training if anyone is interested! We are starting our unit in September and registration will be open soon! I will send the link for registration ASAP. We are capping the unity at 15 members to start, so register early if you are interested.

Evergreen certificate or Dogwood diploma? Are you facing this question for your child going to Grade 10?

Quite often, schools assume some students with disabilities will go the Evergreen route without explicitly asking. The choice belongs to the student and parents.

This important decision will influence your child's education over the next three years. From the courses they take to the goals in the IEP and the activities they do.

As a parent, you need solid information to make the best choice for your child.

Ask your child's counsellor or case manager for a meeting to discuss the options in detail before making a decision.
