Word of the Day: Radius The bone – not the distance from the centre of a circle to a point on its circumference. 😁 It comes from the Latin for spoke in a wheel. It’s one of the two long bones in the forearm. It has a pivotal role in forearm rotation and wrist movement. 🔄 Structurally, it's fascinating to note that the radius is typically shorter than its partner bone, the ulna. 🤯 The shorter radius bone allows for greater mobility, while the longer ulna provides stability and support to the forearm and wrist joint. Neat – huh? Dive deeper into the intricate anatomy of the human body and marvel at its complexity!
