Good morning everyone still not making soap rain with sunny periods through out the day raining this morning been keeping busy picking the wild berries that are available...making up a batch of Saskatoon berry wine ...comments below pictures

Sharing how to use purple cabbage to test if ones soap is balanced in other words how to check if soap is lye heavy . No matter how many times I use the same recipe I check each bar time consuming perhaps making sure each bar is balanced stops the question is any of the bars lye heavy... this is my go to for testing the soap ... one can find more detailed instructions on line..

Good morning everyone we have had rain for the past two weeks raining still today... one has trouble making soap with to much moisture in the air... to wet to go gather product... through out the long winter months I settle in on cold winter evenings doing me art... I work with animal hide attach them to different mediums ... rose petal clay is ready to make the beads

Extracted essential oil hydrosol Perfumed water balsam fir, wild rose petals and dandelions... making soap next week... tomorrow more plant extractions, red clover lilac Chaga mushroom ... daisies ... seven different bars of soap... plus the old fashion bar of plain soap made with lard...😀 one of my favourites ... just a clean sharp smell.....

Good afternoon everyone been overly busy long story make it short I am behind as due to theft at me address I moved the sweetgrass in between gathering and drying dandelions which will be ready this week to start the oil infusion six weeks before it’s ready to use for making up the products,now Douglas fir new growth for needles ... dried dandelions...will be gathering balsam fir and jack pine over the next few days...later this evening I will be adding info on Douglas fir also balsam fir... which I use in the cosmetic balms and salves😉...
