💔 I saw a client recently who had an amputation — and the story behind it is something that needs to be shared. This is a common theme among many where they were not educated on proper diet and care and the repercussions are dauntingly detrimental....
They were given a medication for high blood sugars but were never taught that sugars (and carbs) matter, never shown how diet plays a role, and never even educated about checking their own sugars, signs and symptoms to watch for, etc. One morning, they simply woke up with a necrotic leg. By then, it was too late.
