CBI Health Cares!

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic we are taking proactive measures to that align with both Health Canada and the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and the PHSA recommendations.

We have initiated point of care assessments for all clients who choose to continue to attend their therapy in-clinic, while also cancelling all non-essential meetings, educational sessions and travel, and encouraging and supporting staff who can work from home to do so.

We have created and have provided options to our clients to be supported via tele-health, to ensure they can continue their rehabilitation, uninterrupted, from their home, to support social distancing.

We have taken all pre-cautions as advised by the Government of Canada and will continue to act with fluidity to ensure the safety and health of our community, staff and clients.

If you are feeling unwell, and/or have traveled recently, please do not attend our clinic - please call us to cancel, we will be happy to reschedule your appointment, without any cancellation penalty.

But first, a little background: was created in memory of Jesse Short-Gershman. In an effort to help Coaches destigmatize mental health challenges, the "green tape" initiative created, by Stu Gershman, is currently in its second year and is supported by BC Hockey.

Buddy Check for Jesse has already helped 1000's of hockey players learn acceptance and understanding by providing material and information to coaches to help them educate their team on the importance of supporting one another through mental health challenges.

The goal is simple: help create an environment where teammates support one another and are more aware of the mental health challenges rampant in our youth today.

This year we will be able to fund 1100 teams and provide green tape, wristbands and print material for the coaches and players to continue to raise awareness for mental health challenges and mental illness.

👊 OUR BIG NEWS: We have received the ability to receive donations through the BC Amateur Sport Fund, administered through Sport BC.

Our team is excited for the Prince George Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence awards tonight.

They say it's an honor just to be nominated and we believe it to be true!

Working in a health care setting, inspiring our clients to see beyond their injury towards recovery can be extremely challening and emotional for our clients but it is a journey we are happy to walk through with each of them - it's always rewarding to see them reach milestones they never thought they would see!

Support mental health by participating in ‘Buddy Check for Jesse’, a program created in memory of Jesse Short-Gershman. Buddy Check for Jesse was developed for Hockey Coaches to deliver to their teams. It began with Jesse’s dad, Dr. Stu Gershman, wanting to help his other two boys feel supported and to make their teammates know how important mental health is.
