A recent Canadian Human Rights Commission news release highlights alarming data about people with disabilities inequal access to housing, including higher rates of homelessness, less access to safe drinking water, poorer air quality, and not getting the help they need to live independently - among many other findings.

We cannot let these findings simply be findings. We must act on them and work towards an equal and inclusive world where people with disabilities are given the same opportunities to housing they want as anyone else.

While many of us are spending more time online over the holiday season looking for the perfect gift, remember to watch out for urgent-looking messages that pop up. Don't click on them and don’t call the number they provide—they can be harmful to your computer.

Keep in mind:

🦠 No legitimate company will claim that your computer is infected with a virus.

‼️ Never give anyone remote access to your computer. If you are having problems with your system, take it to a local technician or another trusted resource (such as a family member or friend).

To help protect yourself, make sure you have anti-virus software installed and keep your operating system up to date.
