It’s been 5 days since surgery.

First — $3,236 has been raised so far. I need to say that out loud because it matters. That number represents people stepping in. It represents care. And it has already made a real difference.

He’s still in the hospital. During surgery there was a cardiac event, and doctors have since identified an issue with his heart that will likely need some form of intervention. What that looks like isn’t decided yet — he met with a new cardiologist today for a more in-depth conversation. No final decisions have been made.

He’s stable. He’s being monitored. But this has added another layer to the recovery.

With the possibility of further cardiac treatment on top of brain surgery recovery, the financial picture may shift beyond what we originally expected.

Family day long weekend!

I'm grateful to have had a few moments of pure joy, relaxation, and connection with loved ones, which helped shift my perspective during a challenging week.

Now, it is time to head back up North to continue serving my community and clients.
