What If You’re Not Who They Said You Were?
What if you’re not the villain in someone’s story?
What if you’re just the main character who finally stopped auditioning for the side role they kept trying to cast you in?
What if you’re not dramatic — you just have emotional range?
What if you’re not difficult — they were just underqualified for your level of depth?
What if you weren’t walking away — you were walking home to yourself?
What if your silence wasn’t avoidance but self-protection?
What if your boundaries weren’t rejection but a recovery plan?
What if you weren’t selfish for choosing peace — just tired of playing therapist to chaos you didn’t create?
What if the story they tell about you is more about their comfort than your character?
What if every “too much” they accused you of was really just a reflection of how little they could handle?
What if you weren’t cold — you were healing?
What if you weren’t flaky — you were finding freedom?
What if you weren’t controlling — you were finally taking control of your own life?
And here’s the kicker…
What if the version of you they talk about at dinner parties is just the one that stopped making them feel good about themselves?
What if you’re not the person they say you are, and never were — but they needed a villain to keep their story neat and tidy?
So what if — and hear me out — you just go on being the plot twist they never saw coming?
What if.......
