What a heartwarming day! A talented grade 7 class brought their creativity to life by writing their own stories and then sharing them with us during their 'book tour'. Residents were filled with joy as they listened to the students read their stories. The pride on the students faces and the happiness felt by our residents made this intergenerational visit truly unforgettable.

This morning at East Cumberland Lodge we are celebrating the generosity of our community after a very successful Sparkle of Lite campaign. Over 13000 was raised, with donations still coming in.
Today seems like the perfect day to share pictures of our new ECL Family Room. This room was created to give families and friends a quiet space to visit with their loved ones who live here at the Lodge. To book this room contact Jill at 902-243-2504 ext. 6
Stay tuned this summer as we post pictures of our outdoor spaces which will be as enjoyable as our new family room, thanks to donations from this years Sparkle of Lite donations.

The ECL Santa Claus Parade was started in 2020 as a way to brighten the holiday season during Covid. It has become a much loved part of ECL Christmas, a favorite for our residents.
This year was no exception. Thank you to all departments who participated.
Congrats to the Dietary Department for their winning entry which brought Newfoundland Mummers to the building.
