This horse, and the session we had together, with his owner... will be one of the most memorable and awe inspiring sessions I've ever been a part of!

I worked with the owner once before , two or three years prior to this. However, she only acquired the gelding in the fall of 2024.

When I approached him, he looked good, and then the longer I stood near him, the more agitated he got.... so the owner thought it might help if she went and grabbed his buddy. While she was gone, I tried to introduce myself to him, he would not have it! I actually thought he wanted to try to headbutt me, to get me away!

When the owner came back with his buddy, it didn't help ... It never calmed him down. So I told the owner I would need to do a bit of groundwork to get his respect. She was really good and had no problem with it.

The groundwork took quite a bit longer than we expected! But it was absolutely necessary, in order to get him to look to me for leadership!

After working with him for a short amount of time, I soon discovered he wasn't aggressive. He was scared... Terrified actually! But his fear was almost more of an overwhelmed sensation. He had learned that it was his responsibility to take care of everyone, and be the boss of everyone, including humans!

He had also just arrived at that location that day. All the other horses that would come near him, he would flatten his ears, with bared teeth, and try to bite and keep them away.

Well, it took a bit to get him to start realizing that we weren't being aggressive with him. We were making a point of telling him, that we want to be the ones to take care of him, and that he can relax and just coexist as one of the herd.

When he started to relax his mind, then the body could start to follow. He had a lot of baggage that he needed to let go of first!

About a third of the way through the session, he brought his face to my hand, and just lightly rested his muzzle on my palm, and just held it there for a minute or so.... it was both shocking and touching❤️

He was ready to accept help...!
Not too long after that, he did the same thing with his owner, but this time, he wanted her to embrace him, and brought his head into her!

I continued trying to do some body work, now that he started releasing tension, mentally and physically. I could address the physical issues.

Right before finishing the session, I decided to adjust to sacrum, the bone above the tail head, that has five bones fused together. I fondly refer to it as their rudder. 😉

It was no sooner that I had made the adjustment to the sacrum, than we heard an extremely loud pop, accompanied by his rear end bouncing! Not only did it seem to help his gate, but it also addressed the issue of his back ribs that I had been working on!

Now I know there was a whole lot more that happened that afternoon... but those were some of the highlights!

That evening, I spoke to the owner. I suggested she cold hose him in the evening. Between the heat from the day and everything happening, I didn't want him to have any swelling.

She let me know, that when she arrived at the field he was at, he actually came jogging up to her!!!! This is the same horse that she couldn't catch without treats !

Sometimes people and animals, even though they seem like they are aggressive.... it's just that they've gone through so much in their past, that they have extremely high self preservation! This method they've used to keep themselves safe, is the only thing they've known thats worked!

In this case, once he found out that we were there to help him, the owner told him that she was going to protect him. When the other horses he didn't like, or was scared of came near. We wouldn't let them get near him, and we would chase them off. After that, he wasn't barring his teeth, trying to bite or pinning his ears anymore!

If the owner and myself hadn't been there, while the session was happening....I don't know if we could've believed the outcome, especially because of how he started from. It was just beyond belief! And I feel so unbelievably fortunate, that I was able to be part of it!

15 Fascinating Facts About the Horse's Heart and Its Emotional Connection with Humans:

The heart of an average adult horse weighs about 4–5 kg — nearly 10 times heavier than a human heart.

A horse's resting heart rate is around 28–40 beats per minute, but it can rise up to 240 during stress or intense activity.

The horse's heart is incredibly powerful — it can pump over 60 liters of blood per minute during running.

Human emotions can affect a horse's heart rate. Studies show that horses "read" human moods and mirror them.

During calm interaction, the heart rates of the human and horse can synchronize — a phenomenon known as bioelectrical resonance.

Horses sense a person's presence even before physical contact — their heart reacts to energy changes nearby.

A horse's heart generates a strong electromagnetic field, capable of transmitting emotional signals to other horses and even people.

Horses have a highly developed parasympathetic system, allowing them to calm down quickly in a safe environment.

A handler’s anxiety or fear can trigger stress in the horse — even if no real threat is present.

During cuddling or quiet companionship, a horse’s heartbeat slows down — a clear sign of trust.

Young horses experience emotional “storms” more frequently — much like humans, their hearts and nervous systems are still developing.

Trauma can leave an "emotional imprint" on a horse's heartbeat, even long after physical recovery.

Horses have the ability for emotional healing — kind and caring human contact can stabilize their heartbeat.

The horse’s heart is often seen as a symbol of deep intuition — horses can "feel" intentions before a word is spoken.

Scientific studies confirm that the emotional bond between human and horse is not a myth — it's a real physiological interaction of hearts, which can even have healing effects

I got to hang out with these three gentlemen this morning! Going from left to right... we have Mr. Chestnut, then little Tornado and Sir Vinny!

I was called to work on Sir Vinny, but he had other plans in mind! He was quite standoffish and very uncomfortable being touched at first. He is also highly sensitive to energy.

So I didn't push it with him. I went to the other two and worked with them for a little bit. Every time I would do an adjustment or massage or some sort of release with the other two Vinny felt better each time. You could actually see the change in his body and his confirmation his muscles everything!

After about 3/4 of an hour, he finally started letting me touch him! And usually after every adjustment or massaging a certain area, he would need l some time to process it.

As you can see from the last couple pictures , Mr. Chestnut clearly wanted all of the attention! I had to keep pushing them away, so I could continue with Vinny!

And when Vinny was all finished, he told me ... he just simply walked to the other side of the corral and waited. By the time Vinny had completed his session. He looked like a new mini! His neck was much more smooth and loose. He didn't have flies on his back anymore. That were nearly completely covering his spine. His gate was extended, and he was just much happier!

And the session consisted about half and half of physical body work and emotional body work, or as I usually call it, energy work.

A lot of people ask me is that the same as Reiki and I tell them No!

I did take a Reiki class, but it is not Reiki. I don't even know if the energy work I do has Reiki in it. I don't think so. What I do is mainly from an intuitive aspect. My hands go where the horse tells me to put them, sometimes I might get messages for the horse or owner, and sometimes it's the owner that needs some energy work and not the horse or possibly both.
I try to find the blockages in the body where there could be something stuck or spasmed or dark or not theirs. They may or may not feel something when I have my hands hovering in that spot or I give a little nudge, but if the people in the area are not open to it, there's no point in having it done because even if it works, you won't wanna see a benefit.

So... I haven't posted about myself working on animals or humans via energy work before. But I have done it all along.!

So this is me putting myself out there as an conduit for energy healing. I will work on horses, dogs, and humans at this point I might possibly open it up to other animals. If you are interested in it, get a hold of me by text on my cell phone I get the messages much more clearly than through Facebook. If you wanna book an appointment or have a few short questions, I can answer them for you, but I will not give you a reading through text or anything like that for a consult.

I got a wonderful message from Hope's owner the other week. I don't often get progress messages, unless they need another session.

Here's what his owner had to say:

"I think he still looks great! I’ll work him a bit this week"

I'm so glad he's feeling better finally!!!
I don't want to work just enough to bandaid the lameness. I want them to be able to get back into work and have a fulfilling life! Everyone deserves that opportunity, unfortunately not everyone gets it.

I'm so grateful to be able to do what I do!!! That my body and mind allow me to, and the horses and their owners work with me and trust me to do my job and passion!❤️

Thank you everyone for your support! I appreciate every single human and horse!

Your saddle pad is just as important as a proper fitting saddle.

There’s so many different kinds of pads, it’s easy to be overwhelmed. Theres shim pads, neoprene, synthetic, felt, gel, correction, fleece, wool, (and the list goes on). People come up with a gimmick to try to alleviate a problem, and unintentionally create a new one.

If you think about basic designs, wool seems to be the most effective. Most people know how much wool absorbs moisture. It can absorb up to 3 times its weight in water, but it is also mildew and mold resistant. If it did start to get a bit foul, it’s because of the organic matter in it and it needs a good cleaning !
It’s extremely durable, comfortable and its a very available resource.

I’ve always used the felted wool pads, but the more research I did, I found flaws in the design. They do have their good qualities, easy to clean, can be made from wool, easy to come by. But…the felt is woven so tight that it doesn’t breathe as well as it could. Muscles being exercised create an increase in circulation, which in turn creates heat. The felted pads can trap that heat. The felted pads are also very rigid, which could restrict some movement, or make it more difficult to move.

So going back to when things were simple, there were pulled wool pads.
It has a similar idea to the felted wool pads, but the pulled wool pads are constructed of continuous loops of soft, pure wool. These loops allow air flow, so heat doesn’t get trapped! Once they are broke in, they conform to the horses body, but still allow them the flexibility for full range of motion.

After learning this and wanting a better type of pad for my horse. I have decided to start making them, and offering them for sale to other riders! Generally, these pads aren’t easy to come by. As they take a fair amount of labor to manually pull every loop, by hand, on each side of the pad, as well as getting ahold of the materials to make them.

I want to help horses feel good while they are doing their jobs and help them stay sound longer!
