🔔 FUNDING Alert!! 🎉

The Deslauriers Lab and colleagues have been awarded an amount of $450K for a project aiming to target innovative biomarkers of prognosis, treatment response, and relapse in patients with psychotic disorders and past psychotrauma history. We will also investigate the psychotraumatic effects of the psychotic experience itself (symptoms, hospitalization). Theses funds are covered by a partnership between the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé and Janssen, Inc.

*Available French version "Le corps n'oublie rien"*

Written by an internationally reknowned psychiatrist and Distinguised Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association

It is well known that our "fight-or-flight" response facing a traumatic event may be the result of past childhood trauma and/or the environment in which we grew as a child. Importantly, our childhood may wire our brain, explaining how we respond to a trauma during adulthood.

This book explains what happens in our brain in such a smooth, popularized, and comprehensible way.

Because psychological resilience is not about whether we develop PTSD resilience or not, it's about being able to recognize what makes us how we are today, then rewire our thoughts (and brain patterns!).

Our lab definitely recommends this book!🎗
