Not every practice day is meant to feel empowering.

Sometimes strength is what comes through.
Stability. capacity. that quiet sense of I can handle this.

And sometimes what comes through is release.
Tears, shaking, emotion that was waiting for a safe enough moment to surface.

That doesn’t mean you’re regressing.
It often means you’re no longer overriding yourself.

When the body is finally being listened to, it tells the truth in different languages.

Strength is one of them.
So are tears.

Anger isn’t the enemy.

Uncontained anger burns everything around it.
Suppressed anger turns inward and corrodes.

Yoga doesn’t ask you to erase it.
It asks you to feel it without letting it run the show.

When anger is met with breath and steadiness, it becomes information.

It shows you where a boundary was crossed.
Where a need wasn’t spoken.
Where something inside you is asking for change.

That’s the difference between destruction and direction.

The fire doesn’t disappear.
It gets focused.

Your fascia is listening to your nervous system.

Fascia is not passive tissue.

It’s living, sensory, adaptive connective tissue.

It responds to:

• movement
• hydration + mineral balance
• breath quality
• mechanical load
• stress hormones
• nervous system tone
• inflammation
• emotional tension

When you move slowly through full ranges of motion, fascia remodels.

When you breathe deeply, it becomes more fluid.

When stress hormones stay elevated, it stiffens.

When inflammation lingers, it thickens.

When your nervous system stays in fight-or-flight, your tissue adapts to tension.

Fascia is richly innervated.

It communicates with your autonomic nervous system.

It reflects your regulation.

Your body isn’t randomly tight.

It’s adapting to your inputs.

Movement is information.
Breath is information.
Stress is information.

And fascia listens.

Let me introduce myself :)

Hello, my name is Marlee Kolody. I am a born and raised Quesnel gal. I am crazy about essential oils and use them daily. I love yoga, hiking, kayaking, snowshoeing, fishing, backpacking, camping... an all around nature lover. I enjoy spending my free time with my family and my 2 dogs.

I enjoy working with people and have always been interested in working within the health and wellness industry. After putting that dream on hold to raise our then young children, I decided the time was now to pursue my dream of working in the industry. My first step towards this goal was working towards and obtaining my Reiki Master Certification, which I recieved this fall. I also made the decision to become a certified Foot Reflexologist with The Canadian Reflexology School. I am currently studying the hand certification program.

With both Reiki Master certification and my Foot Reflexology certification, Soul Harmony was born. I am excited to announce that I have a treatment room at Valois Kung Fu located at 196 Davie Street (across from the Barkerville Brewery) .

I have also completed the 200 hour Yoga teacher training, meeting the Yoga Alliance requirement. I will be offering classes by invite only with the Covid-19 regulations in place. When those are lifted, I will be opening up registration to the public, come the new year.
