The children mixed Cool Whip and chocolate pudding to create our own “mud” and explored through squishing, scooping, and stirring. Messy sensory play is always a favorite!

Spring tricked us this week… so we brought the snow inside! ❄️🌨️

Our little explorers had a blast scooping, digging, and discovering arctic animals hidden in the snow. Sensory play like this helps build fine motor skills, encourages imagination, and sparks lots of curious conversations.

If winter wants to stick around a little longer, we’re happy to make the most of it!

The children explored oobleck while searching for hidden gems 💙💜 They squished, scooped, and worked together to find every last treasure.

We heard so much great conversation around the table — asking for turns, helping friends, sharing tools, and celebrating each gem they found 🎉

This simple sensory activity supported:
🗣️ Language development
🤝 Cooperation and sharing
💛 Social emotional growth

🌿 Little Engineers at Work 🌿

This week at Quesnel Pre-K @ St. Ann’s, two children teamed up to line up our outdoor tires. They carefully placed matching ones side by side, organizing them with intention and focus.

When they discovered one tire was too heavy to move because it was full of gravel, they didn’t give up. With a little scaffolding from Ms. Tiana, they came up with a plan to scoop the gravel out so they could lift it. 💪

The pride on their faces when they shared their accomplishment with their peers was everything.

This experience supported:
• Physical development through gross motor strength and coordination
• Cognitive growth through problem solving, sorting, early math concepts, and measurement

Hands-on learning, teamwork, and big thinking all in one outdoor moment 🌿
