✨ Pro D Day fun with the teams from West Quesnel Day School and Quesnel Pre-K 💛

Today included picture card workshop with Crystal from the Child Development Center, an escape room challenge where neither team escaped 😂, but we were complimented on our awesome teamwork which made us so proud!

Today our little explorers had so much fun digging, searching, and discovering worms! ☀️

🌈 Skittles Science Magic! 🌈

Yesterday at Quesnel Pre-K, we turned candy into science… and WOW did it amaze us! 🍬

The children watched with such excitement as warm water transformed our colorful skittles into beautiful rainbow patterns right before their eyes.

We explored color mixing, prediction, observation, and patience as we watched the colors slowly spread and swirl together.

They loved it SO much… we just had to do it twice! 😍

Hands-on experiments like this are such a fun way to spark curiosity, encourage questions, and make learning feel magical.

Sometimes the simplest activities create the biggest wonder ☺️

☀️ Mud Kitchen Magic ☀️

These beautiful sunny days have brought so much joy to our outdoor play, and our mud kitchen has been BUSY!

From mixing, pouring, scooping, and creating all kinds of muddy masterpieces, the children have been using their imaginations, practicing problem-solving, and enjoying all the sensory fun that comes with messy outdoor play.

There’s something so special about sunshine, dirt, water, and little hands hard at work.

And the excitement doesn’t stop there… Miss Kim is currently building the children a BRAND NEW mud kitchen specially designed just for them! 🛠️✨ We already know they are going to be SO excited to explore, create, and make even more magical muddy memories in their new space!

Today we spent some time checking in on our garden beds, and the children were so excited to see what’s starting to grow!

From strawberries waking up after winter to our rhubarb stretching its big leaves, there was so much to discover.
The children gently explored, observed changes, and even got their hands a little dirty helping care for our plants 💛

Gardening is such a beautiful way for children to learn patience, responsibility, and where our food comes from, and of course, enjoy a little messy play along the way!

Today we used loose parts, sensory play, and imagination to build our own little farm worlds, fences, barns, muddy fields, and even farm meals 🍽️

Through hands-on play, the children explored how farms work while building, creating, and working together.
