What if you ended pregnancy stronger than you started?

Is it possible? Yes
Is it going to be tough? Probably
But can you do it? Abso-fricken-lutely

This statement is a little far fetched, but it’s something that’s been keeping me on track during my pregnancy. I’ve stayed consistent (minus a few weeks in the first trimester when I was hugging the toilet) for the most part and told myself everyday that my body is more than capable.

Consistency is key, not only to maintaining a healthy body and mind, but in preparation for labour, delivery, and recovery.

June is going to be straight 🔥 🔥 🔥

June is all about getting to know your body. Know your limits, your capabilities, areas of strength and struggles… You’ll learn when to embrace the push and when to listen and just be still for a moment of recovery.

As you work your way through these sessions (ranging from 5-20 minutes) you’ll notice more strength in your core, your mobility will improve, you’ll enhance your mental health, find you have better posture, all with workouts that you actually enjoy!

Last year I watched a video about gluten… Maybe it wasn’t the gluten that was affecting my children, maybe it was the QUALITY of the gluten they were eating 🧐

I had eliminated gluten in two of my children’s diets as they developed rashes and stomach issues… and then a year later I watched that video and thought maybe I will give gluten one more chance.

I decided to buy some fresh milled flour and I made some cinnamon buns, my kids devoured them, and then I waited. No issues - this was interesting! So the next day I made a cake, and the next day I made bread, and I ended up baking with this fresh milled flour for almost 2 weeks waiting for a response from my children, nothing happened.

No stomach issues, no skin problems, it was as if the gluten gods had given me this amazing miracle - I say that because cutting out gluten in a child’s diet, well, you may as well be starving them in their minds 😆

So, with this newfound information, I decided to invest in some organic and glyphosate free wheatberries, as well as a flour mill - our lives were forever changed!

If you haven’t gone down the rabbit hole of our flour industry, it’s definitely worth checking out. Between the pesticides and treatment of our wheat berries, and the industrialized stripping of every nutrient and separation of the bran during the milling process, not to mention the high heat, there’s really nothing left except synthetic junk in the average bag of store-bought flour.

This picture may not seem like much to the average person, but when you’ve worked so hard for years on your food addiction, it screams success!

Even if I was full, after eating most of a meal, in my mind it just didn’t make sense to leave the last few bites. I would finish my plate, feel like crap, and do it again at the next meal.

Listening to your body and its hunger cues can be tough, but over time, you train our mind and your body to appreciate food and look at it as fuel instead of a treat.
