If you have the choice to move your body, just do it!

You will never regret moving your body, but you may regret NOT moving it 😜

This works out extra since my little one (who’s not so little anymore, he’s 7!) isn’t a big fan of me watching him anyways.

If you are in southern Alberta and you have kids, I highly recommend Raymond Martial Arts Academy

Not only are they the best family and the best business, but you also get the chance to move your body while your little ones learn and move as well!

I know homeschooling isn’t for everyone, but if you ever have a chance to try it, I highly encourage that you do!

We enjoy relaxed mornings in our pajamas, a nice hot breakfast that we share together while we plan our day, my children get to grow up knowing their siblings a little better, and they get to learn based on their own needs and wants.

You’re probably wondering why I have so many makeup brushes, considering I rarely ever wear makeup 😅

So before I got into yoga and fitness, I was an Esthetician for over 20 years, which meant makeup was a big part of my life! Not only did I wear makeup every day, and the whole 9 yards, I also offered makeup artistry as a service for many years 💄

About five years ago I started to get holistic, and that meant getting out of Esthetics as it no longer aligned with my personal values… if I wouldn’t put it on my own skin, I wasn’t going to put it on yours!

Well, fast forward to this week, I’d been on the hunt for some natural makeup brands for a while now, and a few days ago two different companies magically appeared in my feed. I was drawn to them right away, I felt in line with their values, and I decided to give them a go.

So stay tuned for some before and after pics as I get in to make up again!

One thing I’ve done consistently (even if I’m feeling like I just want to hug the toilet) is my after dinner walk 🏃‍♀️

Why walk after a meal?

Walking for 10–30 minutes shortly after a meal boosts metabolism by helping muscles consume glucose for energy, which prevents sharp blood sugar spikes. This postprandialactivity reduces the workload on the pancreas, aids digestion, decreases fat storage, and increases overall caloric expenditure, supporting better metabolic health

I also walk for the fresh air, it helps my nausea, it gets the blood flowing, and I never regret it when I come home!

Hi, I’m Vanessa, a mother of three with a lifelong love of Yoga since a teen, and a passion for strength training in the last 15 years. My real fitness & healing journey started about 12 years ago when I lost over 100 pounds! It wasn’t until after children that I stepped up my game and discovered Pilates, which I’ve been teaching for over 2 years now, and the correlation with pelvic floor health after kids. I’ve also found Reiki and Meditation to be great additions on my healing journey, which lead me to become a Reiki Master and Sound Therapist. I am always expanding my knowledge and keeping my education up-to-date, which is why I am currently taking my personal training certification to assist you better with knowledge and skills!

My goal is to inspire others and build their confidence, on and off the mat, and let them know that anything is possible. Change doesn’t come through complacency, it comes through our own personal challenges and consistency. I want everyone to know that they are capable of feeling confident in their own body, not just physically, but emotionally AND mentally too.

Hi everyone! I am Vanessa, a 30yr female, and also a graduate of the prestigious Blanche MacDonald Center in Vancouver, BC. Having 9 years under my belt, I always find one thing, my knowledge and my passion keep growing more and more each and every day in this industry. I don't just have a job, I have a career. There's nothing I love more than to be a positive part of my clients busy schedules...whether it's a simple eyebrow wax or a relaxing massage, I guarantee that your service and time with me will be the highlight of your day. I am still open to taking new clients, and am also very flexible with my schedule to accommodate each and every one of your needs :)
