Why I no longer wear a smart watch 👀

⌚️ I became too obsessed with the numbers and it made me more anxious than motivated.

⌚️ This may shock some of you, my watch amplified my eczema. After digging deeper into this, it’s actually a thing!

⌚️ Forever chemicals. PFAS are in a lot of the common wristbands. I even bought some higher end ones just to find out they’re no better.

⌚️ Radiation exposure. I don’t use my microwave anymore for this reason, and I finally clued in that my watch was exposing me as well.

⌚️ Privacy. Even though your data seems safe and secure, is it really? No, it’s not.

And it’s not just watches, it’s the rings, the monitors, the Bluetooth headphones, there’s much more out there that can support those negative underlying issues to your health

It’s been a minute since I’ve talked about my eyesight, so if you wear glasses, this post is for you.

Back when I was eating unhealthy, drinking more alcohol than I should’ve been, and smoking ci******es, my eyesight had deteriorated and I wore glasses every day.

I did this for years just thinking that was life, I thought once my vision was gone there was no rebuilding or repairing that part of my body. Boy was I ever wrong!

I wore my glasses for over five years, and then when I cut out seed oils and processed garbage from my diet, I never thought to test my vision, but I bet if I took my glasses off back then, I would’ve noticed some improvement.

Then I heard about this book on a podcast and I thought what the heck, why not give it a try. There was lots of information and a ton of very doable exercises in that book, within a few few days of reading that book I had taken my glasses off for the first time in years, I could actually read the fine print on the television!

There’s a lot of false information about the optometry industry (shocking, right?? Eye doctors couldn’t be in it just for the money and must have our best interest in mind 😅) and ‘Take Off Your Glasses and See’ was an amazing book with incredible perspective on this topic.

Have you ever thought about doing something about your eyesight? Let me know in the comments below 👇

Homemade patterns, old bedsheets from Value Village, and pure vibes baby ✨

I always have to start something new with each pregnancy, and this time around I wanted to learn to sew.

I’ve played around with a few different patterns and definitely have my work cut out for me 😅

Having a pregnancy coach and companion can be incredibly beneficial for both the expectant mother and the overall birth experience.

A coach can provide continuous emotional support, helping to reduce anxiety, fear, and feelings of isolation by offering reassurance, encouragement, and a calming presence throughout labor. A coach can also prepare you with practical techniques such as breathing exercises, positioning, massage, and timing contractions, which often lead to shorter labors, fewer interventions like pain medication or cesarean sections, and a more positive, empowered birth.

Additionally, their presence allows the partner or family members to feel more involved and confident, while ensuring the mother feels heard, respected, and cared for—ultimately promoting better physical outcomes and greater satisfaction with the birthing process.

When you sign up for one of my packages, you not only get support from conception to birth, you receive unlimited support in the postpartum stage as well!

I provide you with education and support on making low talks swaps during and after pregnancy, your birthing rights in and out of the hospital, and I provide you with techniques that will ease pain during pregnancy and allow your body and baby to be trusted with labour, delivery, and healing.

It’s 2008, I am about 20 years old, I am knee-deep in red wine, smothered with low quality makeup, smoking the cheapest ci******es, and riddled with micro plastics, and I am laughing at people like me now not giving a flying F 😅

Now I’m coming up on 38, checking my organic coffee for mold, analyzing food labels for seed oils and soy, living my best life in a linen or cotton dress, and chucking as much plastic away in my house that I can.

Oh how life changes! From party girl to proper, I’ll take it ❤️

Did you know that staying active during pregnancy can:

♦️ Reduce your risk of gestational diabetes
💎 Make labour and delivery much more bearable
♦️ Keep your weight gain manageable and healthy
💎 Keep your baby’s health in check
♦️ Increase comfort levels by minimizing bodily aches and pains

There’s no excuse to ditch the physical activity during pregnancy, so keep moving, listen to your body, and feel great!

First you start with a sourdough starter.

Then you convince your husband to get some chickens for fresh eggs.

Then you’re milling your own flour.

And now you’re raiding thrift shops finding fabric to make your own clothes 😅

What’s next?!

So a few weeks ago, I one upped myself on being a hippie…

I gathered 80% of my closet and sold it on marketplace and donated the rest to Value Village. I then used that money to purchase items off marketplace and Vallue Village that were strictly cotton, linen, or wool.

Here’s what I have noticed:

1. My skin seems softer. Now this is weird because I exfoliate and moisturize daily and I say this as humbly as I can, but my skin always seems good but now it’s even better!
2. My B.O. is completely gone. Now, BO is something I have struggled with when I ate crap food, but since cleaning up my diet, it’s a lot better. But now when I do have some extra carbs or a piece of fruit (which would usually trigger a slight change in BO) I have no odour at all, and I swear it’s the fabrics, call me crazy, but I said what I said 🤪
3. I have ALWAYS run on the warmer side, whether I’m just standing around or working out, always a furnace. Well, shockingly, my temperature regulation is insanely normal. I still sweat when I work out, but I feel extremely cool while doing other things. Something I don’t think I’ve ever experienced before in life!
4. Now, this one I am not proud of, but I’ve become a tad pretentious. Instead of just analyzing every single food label, I now analyze every single clothing tag 😆 And just like when I find a good food without seed oils, I do a happy dance when I find a 100% cotton, linen or wool product, without any polyester or synthetic fabrics!

So I’m curious, who’s jumped on the natural fabric train? Do you have any favourite brands?

Things you should just do instead of ‘waiting for the right time’ 👇

- Use the fine china that’s been in your family for generations. Why just look at it when you can USE it and share stories about your great grandparents with your children.
- Wear the white shirt. Just do it, even if you have 17 children and you are on your way to a hotdog barbecue!
- Do what makes you happy. Don’t dull your own shine just because other people are not on board with your way of life. Keep moving forward and worry about your own mental health, not the lack of others.
- TAKE THE LEAP! Start a new business at the age of 38, do things out of your comfort zone, it’s not failure you should be scared of, it’s the regret of not trying!

What’s something YOU want to do?!
