Babies are communicators!!

It’s not just cry-eat-sleep-poop-cry. They have a voice and body language. Babies have actual reflexes, instincts and cues that were innately built into them- so that we- as intuitive mothers- could know how to meet their needs!!

We just need to learn the cues!

What is hard today is not what will be hard in 2 weeks, 3 months or a year.

What's hard for the first time mom, isn't what's hard for the second time mom.

You can't compare the steps you gotta take when it's one baby to the double steps you take for two babies.

If its hard today, don't give up. Take that ONE STEP and tomorrow will be better.

Have you considered… are you on the right road to breastfeeding your baby? I hear new moms say- how did I get HERE?? I thought it would just happen because it’s natural 😳

The “HERE” I hear about is….

☑️ low milk volume
☑️ painful latch
☑️ digestively upset baby
☑️ inconsolable crying
☑️ no sleep
☑️ constantly questioning if you are feeding them enough, too much or how on earth to know the difference!

These things are not normal and should not be treated as such! Through prenatal teaching and education BEFORE your birth- we can change how these things unfold for you and your baby by understanding these things:

✅ how breastmilk is produced (it’s not extracted or measured by the pump!!)
✅ the importance of the 3 Golden Hours (one hour is not enough time to initiate breastfeeding!)
✅ forceful techniques are not necessary to get a pain free latch - you DO NOT Need to flipple your ni**le😖
✅ if we can understand the physiology of how your baby’s digestive system works - we can very intuitively help calm your baby’s digestive system…. Which always equates to more sleep!!
✅ you have intuition- and you can trust it.
✅ you can learn to read your baby’s cues and that can give you confidence- to KEEP CALM & CARRY ON!! 💪🏻

It is 1:30am. It’s the first moment that I have had by myself that someone doesn’t NEED me.

My Christmas is still up, 5/8 of us are super sick (hence why I am up right now tending to fevers and coughs), I am hosting a beautiful friends 40th birthday in the morning and my house is currently in shambles of dishes, just finished baked muffins, unfolded laundry, gr 9 PAT exam study sheets and Lego. There is nothing pretty about today, but I am here to remind myself- and maybe you too- that It’s ok to show up and it doesn’t have to be pretty. Just keep showing up💛

I literally had a call today with a twin mom struggling with her babies not sleeping, teething, feeding too often and feeling exhausted. And this is what I told her…

“Whats hard today isn’t what will be hard in a month, 6 months or a year. It will get better, and it will change and then other things will be hard. Then you will embrace that hard and it will get better and change….”

So today- things are pretty overwhelming, exhausting, and very messy… but tomorrow is a new day and I know it’s going to get better. (Unless I get sick like my kids… then it will get worse before it gets better😅😂)

This is an event for MOMS. New moms, old moms, many times over moms, not yet moms. Moms that have taken my courses before and moms who have not! No twins necessary to attend...lol.
