After a meaningful and memorable chapter at Mortar & Pesto, it’s time for me to say goodbye—for now. It’s been an honor to wear many hats here as a manager, customer service associate, order receiver, and appointment keeper. This space has been more than a workplace—it’s been a community, and I’m so grateful to have connected with so many of you.

Though I’m sad to be leaving, I’m stepping forward into a new season with a full heart and a lot of excitement. I’ll be pursuing my calling as a Doula, while also focusing more on my social media services, expanding my skills and the businesses I work with. On top of that, I’m heading back to school to upgrade my education and begin the journey into a Physiotherapy program—another field I’m passionate about.

This is a big transition, but I know I’m right where I need to be. I hope to see some of you again in the aisles of Mortar & Pesto—this time as a customer!

Thank you for all the memories, support, and kindness. You’ve made my time here incredibly special.

We aren’t fans of aspartame over here, and this study is just another reason why, aside from thinning the gut lining.

We have much better sweetener, options in store, such as: local honey, Canadian maple syrup, coconut sugar, and monk fruit sugar 🍭

This study confirms what many have suspected—aspartame isn’t as harmless as they claim. Research published in Cell Metabolism shows that aspartame spikes insulin levels, leading to blood vessel inflammation and arterial plaque buildup in mice. Over time, this raises the risk of heart attacks and strokes—the very conditions diet products claim to help avoid.
