When symptoms have been present for a long time, it can start to feel like they are simply part of life. But our bodies remain adaptable throughout our entire lives.

Muscles, connective tissue, and the nervous system are all capable of change. Even if symptoms like bladder leakage, pelvic pain, constipation, or pelvic pressure have been present for years, improvement is still possible with the right approach.

Just because something has been happening for a long time doesn't mean it can't improve.

Many bladder and bowel challenges in children are connected to pelvic floor muscle coordination and constipation.

When the pelvic floor muscle aren't coordinating well - or when a child is constipated - it can affect how the bladder and bowel function.

These concerns are more common than you may think and they aren't the child's fault.

Treatment is gentle, educational, and tailored to your childs age and development. We work closely with parents to create practical strategies that can be carried over at home and at school.

The goal is not just improving symptoms but building confidence, body awareness, and long term healthy habits.

While urine leakage is often the most talked-about symptom, incontinence can also show up as urgency, frequent trips to the bathroom, difficulty holding urine, or feeling like you never fully empty your bladder.

Incontinence can be influenced by many factors, including:
• Pregnancy and postpartum changes
• Menopause and hormonal shifts
• High-impact exercise or heavy lifting
• Chronic constipation
• Pelvic floor muscle tension or weakness
• Abdominal, pelvic, or back pain

Pelvic health therapy looks at the whole picture—not just the bladder. We assess how your pelvic floor, core, breathing, and daily habits work together to find the root cause of your symptoms.

Not all DRAs are a problem!

And it's usually NOT the width of separation that matters most.

What really counts is how well you can control and connect your DRA with your deep core system (your core "canister")

Strength, coordination, and function > closing the gap
