3 things you need to know when considering "the chair" for pelvic health.

- You need to have a pelvic assessment done first. It's important that you know what is driving your symptoms before beginning any type of treatment.

- Pelvic floor contractions (or, ahem, 11 000+ contractions in 30 minutes) are NOT beneficial for everyone.

- "The chair" is NOT the best answer for prolapse, low desire or painful s*x. In fact, it might be contraindicated. There are many other effective care options to consider first.

Women who have undergone a hysterectomy have a higher chance of developing pelvic organ prolapse. Also the factors leading up to a hysterectomy can often cause significant changes to the pelvic floor muscles.

An assessment to determine the best post-operative exercises and recovery plan is always a good idea. As well an assessment prior to a hysterectomy will give us the opportunity to discuss how to set you up for your best recovery. Give us a call to book.
