Our Story
I am a Master Practitioner in Clinical Counselling and Registered Professional Counsellor with the Canadian Professional Counsellors Association, a voluntary registrant with the Canadian College of Professional Counsellors and Pyschotherapists, a Clinical Traumatologist with the Traumatology Institute, and a Certified Brainspotter with Brainspotting International. I am a therapist for Central Alberta Child and Family Services and an approved therapist for the Breaking Free Foundation.
I am an empathetic, non-judgmental therapist who works collaboratively with you to help you NAVIGATE through life. I believe in our innate ability to self-heal which I help you tap into using Brainspotting. Our brain and body are one system and we need to become more aware of both as we process our issues. A sound, mutually respectful therapeutic relationship and neurophysiological attunement are crucial in helping you NAVIGATE through life.
I specialize in trauma, addictions, PTSD, and sports performance but also work with all mental health disorders, symptoms, and issues negatively affecting daily life.
I have successfully worked with many complex cases and have experience working with clients suffering from PTSD, depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, domestic violence, and other trauma. I am a strong advocate for su***de awareness.
Currently, I use an up-to-date brain/body therapy called Brainspotting (BSP). BSP is a powerful, focused treatment method that works by identifying, processing and releasing core neurophysiological sources of emotional/body pain, trauma, dissociation and a variety of other challenging symptoms. Brainspotting helps to decondition the mal-adapative neuropathways created/conditioned by the brain via trauma and supports the brain's natural self-healing capacity.
