September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month
Designated to raising awareness about ovarian cancer, its risks, symptoms, and the importance of early diagnosis and research. Ovarian cancer refers to a group of distinct cancers that originate at or near the ovaries.

There is no effective screening test, no reliable diagnostic test, and no early “red-flag” symptoms. Due to these challenges, it may be difficult to have an effective conversation with your family doctor (or other primary healthcare provider such as a nurse practitioner) about ovarian cancer.

Some common symptoms of ovarian cancer may include: bloating, abdominal/pelvic pain or discomfort, difficulty eating or feeling full quickly, and urinary changes.

Less common symptoms may include: changes to bowel habits, nausea, fatigue, unexplained weight loss, bleeding after menopause, menstrual irregularities, back pain, indigestion, pain with in*******se, and bleeding after s*x.
If you do not have a family doctor, the following options may be available to you:
Gynecologist
Community health center
Walk-in clinic
Emergency room or urgent care center
