🌿 Did you know castor oil isn’t just for beauty?

It’s also a gentle, natural way to help soothe stiff muscles and tension. Castor oil contains ricinoleic acid, which may help reduce inflammation, and when used in a warm castor oil pack, it can improve circulation and help muscles relax.

💡 Try this:
Place a warm castor oil pack on tight or sore areas for 10–20 minutes. You can also use castor oil as a massage oil to gently work out tension.

⚠️ Safety tips:

Avoid if you’re pregnant, breastfeeding,
Never heat packs in the microwave — stick to warm water.
Don’t use on broken or irritated skin.

👩‍🍳 Recipe:
1 cup red lentils
2 cups pumpkin purée
1 onion + garlic sautéed in olive oil
4 cups veggie broth
Spices: cumin, cinnamon, salt, pepper

Simmer until lentils are soft, blend for creaminess, and top with pumpkin seeds.

🎃 Healthy Halloween: Mindful Candy for Kids

We spotted some great tips from Lindsay Pleskot, registered dietitian, to help kids enjoy their Halloween treats without stress! Halloween is all about fun, costumes, decorations, music… and candy! Here’s how to keep the treats enjoyable and guilt-free:

1️⃣ Eat regularly throughout the day – Balanced meals & snacks keep blood sugar and moods stable. A full tummy means kids can enjoy the night without overdoing it.

2️⃣ Don’t make candy the star or villain – Treats are just part of the evening, not the entire celebration.

3️⃣ Don’t police their candy – Allow permission to enjoy all foods. Kids learn to be mindful and calm around sweets.

4️⃣ Let them dig in – Intuitive eating starts young. Halloween is a safe space for kids to explore how much feels right.

5️⃣ Incorporate leftovers into meals – Pair a piece of candy with snacks or meals afterward. It helps normalize treats and reduces obsession.
