If you have pain, stiffness or an injury that is preventing you from doing the things that you love or feeling your best, our physios can help you. We treat all types of neck, back, or extremity injuries: from sports, accidents, repetitive strain issues, etc. We will help you to understand what is going on and get you going in the right direction. We use lots of hands on/manual treatment, exercise, dry needling (IMS). We have specially trained physios in sports therapy, vestibular therapy (for vertigo), and women's pelvic health. Some of the other conditions that we treat: TMJ/TMD jaw pain, whiplash injuries, MVA injuries, surgery pre-op/post-op recovery, foot pain, sprains/strains, "slept funny" injuries etc etc. We can help! Do you just know that you are not moving your best? We can help with that too. Serving all of Red Deer and Central Alberta. All are welcome. Our Physiotherapist Reagan Niemeyer has been recognized by the Mayor's office and Red Deer Public Schools for her hard work and dedication to the Hunting Hills Lighting Bantam Football Team as an Athletic Trainer. 🏈🏉

Reagan has been assisting the Hunting Hills Bantam and Senior football teams for the past 2 years, and has enjoyed every minute and memory made on and off the field.

Have you ever forgotten your lifting shoes and had no choice but to do your workout in your running shoes? 🏃👟

Here is a quick visual from our Physiotherapist Reagan Niemeyer, as to why that may not be the best idea!

▪️ Running shoes often have a lot of extra padding or “squish” to better cushion your foot from the impact involved in running. However that “squish” can greatly impact your proprioception! 🏋🏾‍♀️

▪️ Proprioception is your body’s ability to detect your position in space and provide feedback. We rely quite heavily on this for stability. ⚖️ Naturally, when you are performing heavy lifts - such as a squat, you're going to want to maximize your stability so your body isn't spending extra energy focusing on the wrong things! For your next lift, look for a flat-soled shoe that is going to mimic your natural foot position (barefoot can be a great option if your feet are strong and your gym allows it!!)
