About Us and Our Services
Shelley Friss owns Lions & Butterflies and it was created from her desire to help, heal and empower children who are experiencing the effects of alcoholism within the family. There is a desperate need and niche within our local community for this particular field of counselling. Shelly is a qualified Teacher and received her Batchelor of Education from the University of Alberta and has taught in Calgary and Red Deer for many years. Shelly is highly experienced in offering effective, individualized counselling.
Our focus is to help children/teens heal, empower, and become aware of their inner strengths. We achieve this by providing one on one counselling, a neutral safe space, personalised activities in a confidential and caring environment.
Also offering access to our family owned gym called Iron City for our youth clients.
We promise to be there for you every step of your journey. Our goal is to help you grow from your struggles, heal from your pain, and move forward to where you want to be in your life. We will provide you strength on your journey, healing and empowerment.
