Elastics are primarily used to fix how your upper and lower jaws fit together. While braces can straighten individual teeth, they can’t always correct the relationship between your upper and lower jaw on their own. Elastics apply precise forces to shift your jaw position, helping to correct:
•Overbites (upper teeth too far forward)
•Underbites (lower teeth too far forward)
•Crossbites (misaligned bite on the sides)

Elastics help you finish orthodontic treatment more quickly. Without wearing them as prescribed, your treatment time can significantly increase, sometimes by many months.

Red Deer Public Schools Reading College is an amazing! The 4-week summer program is led by dedicated educators with genuine passion for teaching. Designed for Grade 2 students who need extra support with reading and writing, the program combines educational enrichment with fun, camp-style activities.
