A warning that this video could be difficult and could trigger memories or emotions for you. Sexual abuse is a really hard issue for so many people who, as a child or now as an adult believe or believed that they either couldn’t talk about it, they would be blamed, it would be minimized or not believed. Sexual abuse is more common than we want to admit and has many variations that fall under the over arching umbrella. Sexual abuse can happen to anyone at any age and sometimes isn’t even about s*x but could be about control or even believing that it is about showing love. There is an unfortunate belief that s*xual abuse is only when someone forces unwanted s*xual in*******se on someone else. BUT It can be ( but not limited to) s*xual exploitation, forcing s*xual acts upon someone who is a minor or child to another child, or does not consent, a child being s*xualized through comments, or being exposed to inappropriate materials or being touched inappropriately. If you have experienced something that you feel was wrong, it is okay to talk about it.
