While we may all be riding out the same storm, we are not all in the same boat. We will all experience this time differently with a unique set of challenges and opportunities.
This Thanksgiving is offering us the best opportunities to express gratitude to our family and more – thank you for keeping hope and afloat during an unprecedented and challenging time in our global history. Covid19 TESTING

Alberta has one of the highest testing rates in the world. Our testing approach will evolve as we learn more about the virus and testing technologies improve.

We have expanded our testing to:

trace the spread of the virus so we can identify steps to limit further spread
determine how well our public health measures are working
get a point-in-time assessment of the prevalence of COVID-19 in Alberta
inform decisions to move to the next stage of Alberta's relaunch strategy
Who can be tested
Any person who wants to be tested can now be tested, even if they don't have symptoms.
Testing offered to asymptomatic people, come in and see us for your Covid19 test. The pharmacy test is a throat swab, which will be sent to Alberta labs for analysis
Visit us at Pine Plaza IDA or give us a call @ 4033432234
Pharmacies can now choose to provide testing to people who have no symptoms and no known exposure to COVID-19.
**If you have symptoms or known exposure to COVID-19, do not visit a pharmacy. You must stay home and book your test with

Use this self-assessment tool to help determine whether you need to be tested for COVID-19 or if you would like to be voluntarily tested. You can complete this assessment for yourself or on behalf of someone else, if they are not able.

FAQ:

How do Pharmacists assess and prescribe for health conditions?
If appropriate, your Pharmacist will discuss your condition with you over the phone, in a consultation room or other private area. He or she will ask you questions about your symptoms, your other medical conditions, the medications you take and if you have any allergies to assess your condition. Based on this assessment, the Pharmacist will either make a treatment recommendation, which may include writing you a prescription, or referring you to a Physician/Nurse Practitioner.

What should I expect from this service?

A treatment plan – your Pharmacist will develop a plan just for you and may provide you with a prescription, based on his or her assessment.
Notification to your Primary Care Provider – if required, the Pharmacist will inform your regular Primary Care Provider of any prescriptions that are written for you.
Will the Pharmacist prescribe medications for me?
Pharmacists are trained to assess your health condition and help provide the most appropriate treatment option for you. Based on this assessment, the Pharmacist will either make a treatment recommendation, which may include writing you a prescription, or if the Pharmacist determines your condition is more serious, you may be referred to a Doctor/Nurse Practitioner.

Will my Primary Care Provider know that I came to see the Pharmacist?
Pharmacists work very closely with Doctors and Nurse Practitioners and share relevant information to help ensure you receive the best care. Your Pharmacist will communicate with your Primary Care Provider to ensure your medical records are up-to-date.

Is there a cost to this service?
In Alberta, these services are covered for individuals with a valid Alberta Health Care number.

Do I have to book an appointment to see the Pharmacist?
No, you do not require an appointment. Our locations offer this service on a walk-in basis. Simply speak to a member of Pharmacy Team for more information.

Legal:
* Based on the pharmacist’s assessment and professional judgment, the treatment plan may include referral to another healthcare professional. Prescription medication prescribed by the pharmacist may be covered by your regular drug plan. Please check your plan. Professional fees may apply
