Hi everyone, Keely here 🧡

Today holds an extra special and tender spot in my heart. While our posts are typically focused on Bloom as a whole, I wanted to take today to provide vulnerability and the strength in finding a community to support you. Pregnancy and infant loss is a pain that changes you forever. Having gone through this myself, I deeply understand how hard it can be to find understanding and support. I searched for months to find a professional who could specifically support me through fertility challenges. It has been a goal of mine for Bloom to be a place where this support is available.

Having a counsellor on our team who offers compassionate care for those grieving this kind of loss means a lot to me personally. After my own experience, I know how isolating it can feel and how hard it can be to find the proper support. My hope is that others don’t have to face that silence alone. It can be debilitating to navigate these challenges, and I am here today, on Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day, to share that you are seen. Your challenges, losses, grief and uncertainty are all seen. Your grief, your love, and your story all matter. We are sending you support today, and every day.

Gratitude can take many forms — for connection, for care, for community. As we enter the Thanksgiving weekend, we want to recognize that this time holds different meanings for everyone. Whether you celebrate, reflect, or take time to rest, we hope you find space for what nourishes you most.

From all of us at Bloom, thank you for supporting our local, family-run counselling clinic. Your trust in us allows our team to continue offering accessible mental health care to individuals and families across our community.

However you mark this weekend, we wish you moments of peace, reflection, and gratitude. 🧡

World Mental Health Day is recognized each year on October 10 as a time to raise awareness and promote understanding of mental health around the world. The day highlights that mental health is just as essential as physical health and that everyone deserves access to care, compassion, and support.

As a counselling clinic, our mission is to improve access to mental health services and increase awareness of how mental health affects people of all ages, races, and genders. We are committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming space for all.

We continue working toward a world where mental health is prioritized and supported.

🧡 National Day for Truth and Reconciliation — September 30 🧡

This day exists to honour the children who never returned home, the survivors of residential schools, and their families and communities. It is a time to reflect on truth, healing, and justice. Reconciliation is not a single moment but a journey — one that calls us to listen, learn, and act together.

If you’re looking for ways to engage in Regina and Saskatoon, here are some events happening in honour of this day:

Regina:
- Regina Public Library – Drum group & honour song
- MacKenzie Art Gallery – Free admission, guided tours, art activities (11:00 am–5:30 pm)
- Royal Saskatchewan Museum – Drop-in family activities, video experiences, hands-on learning

Saskatoon:
- Wanuskewin Heritage Park – Day-long programming with speakers, music, and cultural activities
- “Every Child Matters” Pow Wow & Concert – SaskTel Centre, free admission

If you are aware of other events in Saskatchewan, please share them with our community!

Wear orange, reflect, and join in community as we continue the work of truth and reconciliation.

09/30/2025

Today is September 30th, Orange Shirt Day and the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

This is a day to remember the children who never returned home and honour those who survived and were forever impacted by the residential school system.

Orange Shirt Day is not a holiday. It is a day to reflect on the history of this country, acknowledge the injustices inflicted upon First Nations, Inuit and Métis families for generations, and to envision a future where truth is understood and reconciliation is more than just a word.

Start your journey towards reconciliation by acknowledging the truth. If you live in Ottawa, we encourage you to attend the gathering in person. If you can’t join us, we invite you to tune in live to the live broadcast of Remembering the Children on APTN, CBC/Radio-Canada, the NCTR YouTube channel, or other broadcast partners.

Together, we remember. Together, we can take truth to action.
-------------------

Tomorrow is World Su***de Prevention Day — a reminder that every conversation, every act of care, and every moment of listening can make a difference.

Counselling provides a safe space for people to feel heard, supported, and guided through their struggles. But prevention starts with all of us — here are ways you can help:

-Check in on your friends, family, and coworkers — even a simple “How are you, really?” matters.
-Listen without judgment — you don’t need all the answers to make someone feel valued.
-Share resources — encourage counselling, support lines, or community programs.
-Talk openly about mental health — reducing stigma makes it easier for others to seek help.
-Show kindness — small gestures can bring hope on hard days.

If you are in crisis or having suicidal thoughts, reach out for professional support. Supports available:

- COAST (Community Outreach and Support Team) & Regina Mental Health Clinic: 306-766-7800
- Healthline: 811 (incl. translation) (24/7)
- Mobile Crisis Helpline (Regina & Area): 306-757-0127 (24/7)
- Su***de Helpline: 306-525-5333 (24/7)
- Su***de Crisis Helpline: 9-8-8 (toll-free, call/text, 24/7)
- In case of an emergency, call 911 (24/7)

You are not alone.

A huge thank you to our friends over at Sharp Signs and Graphics for the amazing work on our new vinyl sign! From start to finish, their team was knowledgeable, professional, and so easy to work with. The final product looks fantastic, and we couldn’t be happier! Over the past year and a half, we’ve been making an effort to make our space more recognizable from the street for our clients, and this is another significant step forward.
