Early data leads to better outcomes. 🦴
Most people think bone health = bone density.
But bone strength is about more than density alone.
REMS (Radiofrequency Echographic Multi-Spectrometry) is an advanced, radiation-free ultrasound technology that evaluates both bone density and bone microarchitecture (quality) which are two key factors that determine fracture risk.
How REMS differs from DEXA:
•No ionizing radiation, making it safe for repeat monitoring
•Assesses bone quality, not just mineral density
•Less affected by degenerative changes (arthritis, calcifications) that can falsely elevate DEXA results
•Greater sensitivity for early bone changes, especially in younger individuals
•Provides a more individualized fracture risk assessment
Bone loss can begin silently years before it appears on a standard scan. Hormonal shifts, inflammation, nutrient absorption, gut health, medications, and lifestyle factors all influence bone remodeling long before osteoporosis is diagnosed.
REMS allows us to identify risk earlier, monitor change more accurately, and personalize prevention strategies.
