With only a few days left of 2023 and 3 months since the Cooking for a Cause dinner event, I just wanted to wish all of you a very Happy New Year!

This event was definitely a personal highlight for myself and I'm so grateful to every single person who had a hand in making it possible.

This felt like the perfect thing to share about for the 200th post!

After 4 rounds of boxes and a dinner event, Cooking for a Cause has raised $16,000 for 5 different community initiatives!! Including Regina Food for Learning, Our local community fridges, CIBC Run for the Cure for Breast cancer awareness, Hospitals of Regina foundation Children's cancer clinic and The Comeback Society!

I never could have imagined this when I first came up with the idea for Cooking for a Cause at home!

Thank you to everyone for making this passion project turn into something so amazing!! 💕

I want to give a special Thank you to the awesome student volunteers and their teacher Kelley Christopherson from Balfour Collegiate who helped at the dinner event! These four incredible students helped set up the tables, run food, clear plates and helped with dishes. Another important part of helping make the dinner such a successful evening.
Thank you so much, you guys did a fantastic job!

Ok, everyone!

I am very excited to announce the final total raised from the dinner is $2775!!

The chefs have all agreed ALL proceeds will be going to support The Comeback Society!!

Thank you to each and everyone for your support, none of it would be possible without you!!

The fourth course was created by myself Chef Andrea Robichaud.

Sweet corn cake(corn from ), apple cherry compote(apples from BC fruits ), vanilla sage whipped cream(sage from ), milk crumb, maple cream anglais.

The perfect time of year to use some amazing fresh produce.

The third course was created by Chef Destiny Slobodian, Chef and owner at The Bone & Broth Kitchen!!

Braised pork belly, truffle oil polenta ,harvest succotash, charred heirloom tomato, crispy Brussels , Parmesan & Bone Broth reduction

This plate was bright and colorful and captured guests eyes and stomach!

The second course was created by Chef Fabian Boersch from Bar Willow Eatery!!

Quill Creek Bison meatball,
baked lentil marinara,
hazelnut gremolata, charred fennel, Grated manchego

I can still smell this super
delicious cozy dish!

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend! If you're all turkied out then don't worry these next few post won't feature any turkey!

The first course was created Chef Jp Vives from Freebird.

It was garlic lime prawns, warm mixed squash salsa, purreed spiced pumpkin, freebird chili oil, Saskatoon berry sumac and topped with tortilla chips. Jp sourced all of his vegetables locally from out in Lumsden.

Taking fall vibes to a new level!

I am feeling very thankful and grateful for this wonderful community who has supported Cooking for a Cause either from the very beginning or just recently.

It is my greatest passion to help support local and also give back to our community.

These beautiful flowers were generously donated to the dinner from !

They added just the right amount of beauty and elegance to the room. The colors were so bright and inviting.

If you haven't heard of City Street farms before, make sure to give them a follow. Not only do they have beautiful flowers, they also have stunning tomatoes, fresh herbs and more!

One week ago our community came together to support a great cause and enjoyed a delicious meal from four local chefs.

Guests had the pleasure of listening to Pearl from The Comeback Society share about all the important work they are doing amongst the indigenous community.

Seeing that room filled with people who had a shared interest in supporting local was truly amazing.

It's all in the details..

These beautifully designed menus were on the tables at the dinner.

They are simple and elegant and added the perfect touch for the evening.

A huge thank you to my incredibly talented friend Ali Nicholls Asikinack for designing these beautiful menus!

Fun fact Ali is also the creative genius behind the postcards that were inside the third and fourth rounds of boxes!

Having this dinner event wouldn't have been possible without these three talented chefs joining me. It's not everyday that chefs from different restaurants get the opportunity to work together.

It was an honor and privilege to share a kitchen with them for the night, all in support of a wonderful cause.

Today on National Truth and Reconciliation day we remember all of the children who never made it home.

As a society we have a lot of work still to do. That's why having non-profit organizations like are so important. Through education and experience we can all work together to insure indigenous voices are heard not just today but everyday.

I have so many people I would like to say thank you to for making last night possible.

But for now I will just simply say, Thank you so much to everyone who attended the dinner last night. After months of planning and organizing it was so amazing and surreal to see it all come together.
