The road back from concussion requires more than time. It requires expertise.

Concussion recovery isn't linear, but with the right guidance, you can return to regular tasks or play. Your brain deserves the same level of care as any other injury.

Early, precise assessment = better recovery.

At Brownstone Health our evidence-based, CCMI trained, practitioners and integrated healthcare technologies allow us to implement standardized care for those impacted by concussions.

From SIRC's 2024 Concussion in Sport Symposium, Jen Kish, a retired Canadian rugby player and Olympian, details the consequences of 5 major concussions during her professional rugby career, one of which occurred four months prior to the Rio Olympic Games (2016). Her choice to play through her injuries fulfilled a life-long dream, but ultimately led to her retirement in 2018. Now a keynote speaker and mental health advocate, Kish is contributing to concussion research by donating her brain to the Canadian Concussion Centre, aiming to raise awareness and promote safety in sports for future generations, particularly focusing on the unique risks faced by women athletes.
