Mother’s Day at Harbour Landing Village was filled with tea, treats, flowers, music, and so many smiles 💐☕💖

Our residents enjoyed a beautiful Mother’s Day Tea Party complete with flower corsages, dainties, tea and coffee, and a lovely afternoon spent together celebrating the amazing mothers and mother figures in our community. A big thank you to Sweet Dreamz Slumber for the beautiful flower wall backdrop. Our residents absolutely loved taking photos and making memories in front of it 📸

The celebration ended on a high note with entertainment from Clean Break 🎶

Meanwhile, our childcare and preschool children spent time creating heartfelt crafts and sweet video messages for their moms, making the day even more meaningful across generations ❤️ It was also extra special seeing some of our staff spend part of their Mother’s Day at work while their little ones were just down the hall in childcare and preschool. One Village, One Team really shines on days like this 💕

Sombreros on, cupcakes in the oven, and plenty of smiles around the table 🇲🇽🧁

Our residents had a great time celebrating Cinco de Mayo yesterday with a fun afternoon of baking churro cupcakes while dressed in their festive sombreros. The celebration continued as everyone shared the sweet treats during our Cinco de Mayo-themed trivia afternoon, bringing together good food, friendly competition, and lots of conversation.

It’s moments like these that make our Village feel so lively and connected 💛

Our Village comes together through music 🎶

We had the pleasure of welcoming Amara, an accredited music therapist and owner of Bloomful Music Therapy, for a special intergenerational session with our Personal Care Home residents and Little Village Preschool.

Through rhythm, singing, and simple instruments, the room quickly filled with energy, curiosity, and connection. Moments like these go beyond just an activity. For our residents, music helps spark memory, support cognitive function, and bring a sense of joy and purpose. For our preschoolers, it encourages confidence, communication, and meaningful social interaction.

Bringing both generations together creates something even more powerful. It builds empathy, strengthens community, and reminds us that connection has no age.

Last week, our Little Village Preschool kids took a special trip to the library for a storytime session 📚

From riding the school bus together to sharing the experience with parents who joined us, it was a day full of excitement, curiosity, and connection. Moments like these turn simple outings into lasting memories.

A big thank you to the Regina Public Library - George Bothwell Branch staff for welcoming our group and creating such a warm and engaging environment for our children.
