✨Learning to Laugh Again✨

As a therapist, I often see how pain, loss, or chronic stress can make laughter feel distant — even foreign. When we’ve been carrying heaviness for too long, joy can feel unsafe or out of reach.

But learning to laugh again isn’t about ignoring pain. It’s about reclaiming connection — to your body, your relationships, and your capacity for joy.

Laughter:
💛 Regulates the nervous system by releasing tension and activating calm.
💛 Strengthens social bonds and reminds us we’re not alone.
💛 Offers a momentary reprieve that allows perspective and healing to take root.
💛 Helps the body release “feel-good” hormones that support resilience and hope.

Therapy can be a space where you rediscover what lightness feels like — where laughter is not avoidance, but evidence of recovery. 🌿

Because sometimes, healing sounds like a sigh of relief… and sometimes, it sounds like laughter.
