I am SO excited to welcome Ashley to our team of perinatal massage therapists! She is an incredible therapist who is passionate about women's health and perinatal work. She has been an RMT for 7 years and after her own pregnancy and birth of her little guy 2 years ago she did a deep dive into everything birth related and knew her true path was going to be helping people feel their best in their pregnancies, births and postpartum stages!

Well, and I went all the way to Winnipeg and back and didn't take a single workshop picture, classic.

We faced horrific highways, 100 km/hr wind gusts, an arctic cold front with -47° C windchill - but what an incredible group of humans we got to spend a few days with! We laughed, we cried, we learned - pure magic. I think it's fair to say we've gained a few new Pelvis nerd friends! 🫶pelvises

Thanks for having us Winnipeg, let's do it again next year, but maybe in the spring next time, yeah?

17 years ago this beautiful little soul made me a mom. Something I had wanted my entire life and could not believe it was actually happening.

In those early days/weeks/months of motherhood I often flip flopped between disbelief that she was actually mine/ I was hers and complete overwhelm. She would look into my eyes and I thought my heart was literally going to burst. Then we'd have a rough night and I'd think I can't do this! Who thought I could do this?! It took years to get more comfortable in my brand new role as mother. I loved it and was so grateful, and I was also exhausted and doubting myself regularly. (Yes it's totally normal and ok to feel both!)

When I look at each of you stepping into your new roles as brand new parents I am so aware of this time of transition and it takes me back to my own. It truly is the birth of a parent. A part of us that never existed before that we somehow have to figure out how to be. I think we all need to be a bit kinder to ourselves. Give ourselves a bit more patience to figure things out.

Today I'll spend a little bit of time reflecting on the anniversary of the day I became a mom ❤️ and celebrating my girl - I can not believe she's SEVENTEEN!!
