New semester, new students! Meet Mikayla! 👋

Mikayla chose to study Kinesiology because she’s fascinated by the body — how it moves and the ways it can adapt and recover.

During her placement at FSWC, she’s excited to learn more about a variety of disabilities and different techniques used to improve range of motion, muscle recruitment, balance, and more.

A few fun facts about Mikayla:
🏊‍♀️ She’s been on three Canadian Water Polo National Teams
🐶 She has two dogs
🥾 And she loves going on hikes!

🍪 WOW. We don’t have the final Smile Cookie numbers from Tim Hortons just yet, but one thing is already clear—the support from our clients, families, friends, and community this year has been absolutely incredible!

🏆 Our Children’s Program winner, Ollie Kosloski, sold an incredible 1,474 cookies, and wins 5 free hours of therapy!
🏆 Jacquie Sivertson sold an incredible 2,195 cookies, making her our adult program winner of 5 free hours of therapy!

The dedication and support shown by our clients and families this year was truly unbelievable. Thank you for helping make this year’s campaign so special 🍪✨

Class dismissed for the summer ☀️

This past semester, Erika and Andy had the chance to step in and teach KIN 382 – Practical Application of Community-Based Neurorehabilitation at the University of Regina.

It was an exciting opportunity to share real-world experience from FSWC with students — bridging the gap between theory and practice, and giving insight into what neurorehab looks like in a community setting.
