Roughrider Pep Band is a volunteer band that plays at Saskatchewan Roughrider home games, the Grey Cup, and other community events in Regina. Once a year we get to enjoy listening to them play on our beautiful patio.
Our residents enjoy this so much. Thanks for coming 🎷🥁🪕🪈🎸🎺🎻

Last week we held a memorial tea for Norman Johnson, an RAF pilot who fought courageously in World War II. Norman lived at the Renaissance for over 8 years. He passed away recently at the age of 102. Thank you, Norman, for your service to our country, and for fighting for our freedom.
Your family at the Renaissance will miss you RIP our friend.

Residents at Venvi Churchill Place in Oakville were treated to a tasty presentation from a local student entrepreneur. Charlotte, a 15-year-old with a passion for baking, started her business, Grain & Loaf Co, to showcase that healthy can also mean delicious. Specializing in whole grain, good for you baked items, Charlotte is dedicated to bringing fresh, locally sourced, and handcrafted goods to customers.

Joined by her mother and grandmother, Charlotte brought her baked scones, muffins, and challah bread to share with residents, who were inspired by her energy and passion. She shared her story, recounting how she had taught herself to bake through trial and error, experimenting with healthier ingredients to make her treats more nutritious without sacrificing taste.

By the end of the presentation, Charlotte not only shared her delicious baked goods but also forged connections bridging generations through the joy of baking.

Tonight, we had the pleasure of treating Team Venvi Renaissance to a well-deserved evening out.

We loaded up the team on our shuttle and headed to Pilot Butte to enjoy dinner at Bronco Pub and Grill. It was a fantastic night filled with laughter, great food, and connection.

I’m incredibly proud of each and every team member for the dedication and care they show our residents every single day. They truly earned this night out, and I’m grateful for all that they do.

While we treated our Team to an evening out we treated our residents to Kentucky Fried Chicken.

One of our favorite bus trips is always out to Over the Hill Orchards.
Nestled in the picturesque QuAppelle Valley near Lumsden, SK.

Earlier this week we held our annual Canada 🇨🇦 Day Pancake Breakfast on the patio. Thanks to Jim for the entertainment and to the SK Roughriders Alumni (Scott Redl and Steve Mazurak) for coming to serve the residents. We also had Rina Hanowski from Access Communication come to feature the Renaissance in the Community Spotlight.
As you can see it was a beautiful day on the patio.

The Bentley Regina recently celebrated their grand re-opening after months of renovations. Residents were joined by Regina’s Mayor, Chad Bachynski, and other members of the community who were able to enjoy the inviting new spaces. The residence features an ode to The Capitol Theatre and an all-new pub called The Honking Goose Tavern. Guests had the opportunity to sample the Pension Plan Pilsner, a collaboration with The Bentley Regina and Pile O Bones Brewery located in Regina - a true Saskatchewan beer. Retirement living is about community and connection. A new resident at Venvi Windsor Park retirement residence felt overwhelmed on her first day, until a group of compassionate residents embraced her warmly. Over lunch, they shared stories and realized they all hailed from the same Italian town. What began as a simple gesture blossomed into an hour of laughter, camaraderie, and encouragement.
