QI GONG - What if you could relieve pain, stress, anxiety, and sleep disorders naturally? QI GONG is an ancient moving meditation that has been touted for its healing benefits. Qi Gong is a simple practice of drawing healthy energy into your body & mind, while simultaneously activating a deeper connection to your inner-wise self.

Satori Method Flow Form Qi Gong is a gentle, 17 movement form of Qi Gong, which includes three standing meditations. The program uses circular movements, rocking motions and mindful breathing to activate, recharge and circulate life-force energy through your body's weakened or disrupted energy centers. Come to Serenity Wellness Centre to experience this form of Qi Gong. Classes are once a week for one hour for 4 weeks.

Registration is required, class min of 4 to run as well.

BASIC HOLISTIC HAND REFLEXOLOGY COURSE

This intensive seventy-hour course is offered as a weekend course and consists of twenty hours of group instruction followed by forty hours of practicum and ten hours of home assignment. Enrolment is limited to eight participants ensuring plenty of personal supervision during the learning process. A complete set of course notes are provided to each participant to support them in their learning process.

The first evening of the course (Friday 7 - 10 pm) commences with an introduction to the historical and theoretical context of reflexology - with an emphasis on hand reflexology. The evening is completed with a "hands-on" introduction to techniques used to loosen up and relax the hands and the basic techniques used to stimulate reflexes.

Saturday (9 am - 6 pm) in the morning instruction is provided in the techniques used to stimulate the reflex areas of your own hands. To complete the day, techniques used to work another person's hands are taught.

Sunday (9 am - 6 pm), applying reflexology techniques to another person's hands is reviewed. Most of the day is spent learning and practicing these techniques. At the conclusion of the course instruction, the requirements of the practicum are reviewed before participants set out to practice with their friends.

Participants submit documentation of their practice for review and coaching upon completion of their practicum. Participants who are not able to submit their documentation in person submit it by mail.

The promise of the course is that participants who complete the requirements will be able to practice hand reflexology competently on themselves and other persons. A certificate is awarded for successful completion of the course.

Thai Reflexology

Description:
Thai foot reflexology is a marriage between the ancient healing arts of reflexology, Chinese tuina, Japanese shiatsu and Indian Ayurvedic yoga. Thai reflexology is easy and fun to learn and incorporate into your existing practice. Working with the feet, lower legs and knees, this 2000 year old, highly reputed session frees up blocked energy within the body’s many sen lines (Thai- based meridians) to produce a deep and unique feeling of balance, relaxation and well-being.

Unlike conventional western reflexology, Thai reflexology takes a relatively short time to learn. This is because the session follows a protocol, rather than relying on extensive education and practice to create an effective session.

In this class you will learn:
★ the history and philosophy behind Thai foot reflexology
★ how to give a gentle 60-minute traditional Thai reflexology session
★ the names and locations of the 6 major sen lines located in the feet & lower legs
★ the body systems and health issues governed by the sen lines
★ placement of conventional reflexology points along the sen lines
★ the difference between Thai reflexology and conventional western reflexology
★ how to incorporate hydrotherapy in your Thai reflexology session
★ how to choose efficacious lubricants for a Thai reflexology session
★ how to prepare and care for your Thai foot stick.

You will be given an illustrated manual, Thai foot stick and a bottle of organic Thai oil.

Preparation:
Wear clothes that allow access to your lower legs and knees, and slip-on shoes that you can remove quickly and easily. Please be familiar with the bones of the lower legs and feet.

Bring:
FACE COVERINGS (fresh one for each day); HAND SANITIZER; Massage table (preferred) or reflexology chair; pure shea or cocoa butter; coloring pencils; highlighting pen; one regular-sized towel; two hand towels (same size); sheet; foot tub.
