Most “guarding” or the inability to relax is a problem. A real problem. Being stuck in “fight or flight” mode has real long term medical consequences. Massage therapy treatments while individual and specific to the client, have objective health benefits to every person who receives a massage treatment. Those benefits have an accumulative impact over time, not just the short term.

Whether you’re spending time with your family enjoying the beautiful Saskatchewan sunshine ☀️ or cozying up inside watching the Olympics, we hope your day is full of laughs, fresh air, and a little friendly competition!

We clearly chose the “go big or go home” route this year…
Curling? ✔️
Hockey? ✔️
Bobsled? ✔️

And yes… Todd had to be the overachiever and enter multiple events. We’re not saying he’s gunning for a medal, but we are saying he brought his own fan club and possibly a backup stick. 🥇😆

There’s nothing better than getting outside, moving your body, and making memories with your people. However you’re celebrating Family Day, we hope it’s filled with fun, connection, and maybe just a little competitive spirit.

Denial, acceptance, age, circumstance, etc are a part of life. We get one body. Some take it pretty easy, some are down right abusive to it. Some are in the “game” pretty early and others are late to it. It’s hard to “own your crap” sometimes. Do what you can, when you can, how you can.

For those “professionals” such as physiotherapists, chiropractors and general public who don’t think we have a “scope of practice”. The f$ck we don’t. If you don’t respect our education, experience, skill set and our legitimacy as a healthcare provider, that’s a you problem! It makes you a POS representative of your profession and a POS human.

Just some words of encouragement for everyone. We all feel this way at times. This isn’t a “new year, new me” thing. This is a “make sure you start taking care of yourself thing”.
If you do, excellent! If you don’t, please start. Small steps turn into giant leaps.
Massage therapy is a great way to start, improve, maintain great things.
