Hi Everyone!!

This week's card is a reminder that it's OK to be sad. Often when we feel sad or down, we push that emotion away and push forward. There are bills to pay and relationship roles to fill. But, pushing that emotion away and pushing forward can hinder healthy emotional processing and have a negative effect on our resilience.

Feeling sad is a healthy response showing you care about something or someone, including yourself. If you allow yourself to feel it when you are feeling it, feeling it can help you to self reflect and make change if needed. You can have a deeper appreciation for happiness when the sadness passes and gain a greater understanding of your own vulnerabilities. Also, sharing your sadness with someone you trust can create deeper bonds with the people you care about.

Now, not all sadness is healthy, if you are feeling this way for more than two weeks, if it interferes with your daily life, relationships and responsibilities or are experiencing thoughts of self harm, it is important to reach out and get help.

Everyone feels sad sometimes, acknowledge it, don;t suppress it, let yourself feel it. Feeling sad is part of being human and helps us to grow. Letting sadness in can help you to process life's challenges and connect with other's in times of hardship. Let yourself be sad, give yourself space for this emotion when it occurs, you might find that giving yourself permission to feel this feeling in the short term, brings you to a happier place on the other side of the emotion.

Hi Everyone!!

This week's card says it's a good week for stories.

If you are interested in writing, painting or performing it's a good week to express that. If you aren't into creating stories but love them non the less, it's a good week to enjoy reading, watching moves or going to a play. Take a few minutes and read stories to your kids, or tell them stories about your own childhood.

Storytelling is part of our lives whether creatively or or passing on knowledge. We learn so much from talking and telling stories, real or imagined. Storytelling creates emotional connections, makes information memorable, builds empathy, teaches values, and helps people understand themselves and the world, serving as a fundamental human way to share culture, build community, inspire action, and even facilitate healing and development from childhood to adulthood.

Hi Everyone!!

This week's card says it's a good week to explore the road not taken.

Hindsight is 20/20. Ever look back and think if I knew then what I know now? Maybe in a way you can.

This week, take a look at what you might have chosen differently in the past and make a different choice going forward. Wish you'd stayed in contact with someone? Seek them out. Wish you hadn't let go of a friendship? Call them up. Wish you'd taken a particular course or job. Explore what would be needed to do it now.

We can't change the past, but we can do our best to get as close as we can to doing better in the now. Want to be different, do different? Then be the change and explore how to do that.

Hi Everyone!!

This week's card goes out to everyone who is a caregiver to someone. Maybe you work in that kind of field or you are looking after a sick or challenged family member or friend. Maybe you have someone close to you who is in the process of passing on. This card sees you.

This card acknowledges how hard, exhausting and challenging the role you are in is. you are seen, you are loved and you are worthy.

Don't forget to prioritize self-care, simplify commitments, ask for help, and focusing on meaningful moments over perfection to combat increased stress, remembering that looking after yourself will help you so that you can be at your best and fill the roles you have in your life in the way you want. Set realistic expectations, find small ways to rest like sitting down with a cup of tea/coffee, accept or ask for support from family or respite care, and celebrate small joys to make the season manageable and hopefully peaceful.

Being a caregiver is exhausting in ways we often can't even identify when we are in the middle of it. You are doing the best you can and that is all anyone can do. You've got this!!
