Dragonfly was incredibly grateful to receive a grant from Affinity Credit Union’s Community Development Fund. This will allow us to run our Teen Wise Minds group again this fall.

Wise Minds is a skills group where participants learn about emotion regulation skills, distress tolerance skills, mindfulness, thinking skills, and communication and relationship skills! More details about this group are available on our website (link in bio).

Thank-you for helping to strengthen youth mental health in our community!

We are excited to offer the New Ways for Families® program at Dragonfly.

New Ways for Families® is a structured parenting skills method. The purpose of this method is to provide a skills-based, “no blame, no shame” counselling program for parents in divorce or separation who could benefit from learning new communication, emotion management, and problem-solving skills. Research shows it helps decrease conflict, stress and abuse while improving outcomes for children, leading to safer, healthier families.

Our New Ways for Families® counsellors provide sessions to each parent separately. In some cases each parent may also have some joint parent-child sessions.

If you would like to learn more about this program, please reach out!

So excited to be a part of this!

We are deeply honored to walk alongside Indigenous children, youth, and families—listening and learning.

We remain committed to culturally safe, inclusive, and supportive care—today and always. 🧡

Such an amazing reminder! Anytime we are learning a new skill (or supporting our kids as they learn a new skill) it can feel frustrating when things don’t change immediately. It is so helpful to remember that in the beginning, we are practicing a skill we don’t yet have. Trying it out imperfectly is the only way to get there eventually.

Happy Friday!!
